About FortuNetra
FortuNetra is a free reading service that combines two traditions built on your birth date: Western numerology and natal chart astrology. We calculate your numbers and your chart first, and then an AI reader explains what they mean for the question you asked. More than 50,000 readings have been created on FortuNetra so far.
Who runs FortuNetra
FortuNetra is run by the FortuNetra Team, a small independent team based in Japan. We are the same team behind uran-ai.jp, a Japanese AI fortune-telling site. FortuNetra is our English-language service, launched in 2025, and we continue to maintain and improve it.
Our aim is simple: to make thoughtful, personal readings available to anyone, free of charge, while being clear about what a reading is and what it is not.
How our readings work
Numerology
We use the Pythagorean system, in which each letter has a value from 1 to 9 (A=1, B=2 … I=9, then repeating from J). Numbers are reduced to a single digit, except for the master numbers 11, 22 and 33, which are kept as they are. From your birth date and name we calculate five core numbers: Life Path, Destiny, Soul Urge, Personality and Birthday. Your name is optional; without it, we use your birth date only.
Natal chart
Your natal chart is calculated with the open-source astronomy-engine library, using the tropical zodiac and the equal house system. It includes the Sun, Moon and planets from Mercury to Pluto, the lunar nodes, your Ascendant and Midheaven, nine types of aspects between planets, and the balance of elements and modalities.
Birth time and birthplace are optional. If you leave them out, we use 12:00 noon, so the exact position of the Moon, your Ascendant and your houses will be approximate. Your Sun sign and the positions of the other planets are rarely affected.
Oracle Card and Agastya Leaves readings
In the Oracle Card Reading, you draw three cards from our 44-card deck for a Past, Present and Future spread. In the Agastya Leaves Reading, inspired by the Nadi palm-leaf tradition of South India, you choose a fingerprint, answer three questions and pick one of eleven life themes, and the reader interprets Chapter 13 (past karma) and Chapter 14 (its resolution) for you. Both are interpreted by AI in the same way as our main reading.
How we use AI
After your numbers and chart are calculated, they are sent together with your question to an AI language model, which writes the reading. The AI is instructed to use only the data we calculated and not to invent placements or numbers that are not in your chart.
You choose one of three readers, each with a distinct voice: a warm, empathetic guide; a measured elder who focuses on where you are in life; and a bold seer who looks for the angle you have not considered. Readings can be written in 20 languages.
AI can make mistakes, and numerology and astrology are traditions of symbolism rather than science. Please treat every reading as a prompt for reflection, not as a statement of fact.
How our monthly horoscopes are made
Our monthly horoscopes are based on the real movements of the planets. Each month we calculate the key events with astronomy-engine, such as new and full moons and planets changing signs, and use them as the basis for each sign's forecast. The articles are drafted with the help of AI and are reviewed and edited by the FortuNetra Team before publishing.
The daily zodiac ranking on our home page is a light, just-for-fun feature and is not based on chart calculations.
Your privacy
- No account or registration is needed.
- We do not store the name you type. It is converted into its numerology values in your browser, and only those numbers are saved.
- Your question is processed by our AI provider to write your reading, so please do not include sensitive personal information in it.
- Readings are free, with up to three per day.

Readings are offered for entertainment and self-reflection. They are not a substitute for medical, legal, financial or psychological advice, and our readers do not make predictions about death, illness, gambling, investments, exams or legal matters.
